William Cecil “Billy” Driskill, Jr., 59, of Pleasant Hill, was born, September 1, 1958, in Buffalo, Missouri, the son of William C. and Arminta A. (Dobson) Driskill.  He departed this life, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at St. Luke’s-East Hospital in Lee’s Summit surrounded with love and family.

Billy was a 1977 Pleasant Hill High School graduate.

On December 17, 1977, he was united in marriage to Belinda Lea James in Pleasant Hill.  She survives although they are no longer married.

Billy had been employed at AT&T and had also worked for Tasco Construction.  At the age of 27 he suffered a spinal injury that left him paralyzed.  His disability didn’t deter him from his love of working on old cars, dune buggies, and motorcycles.  Just recently he built a bike for his grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother Arminta in 2012, and his brother, Richard in 1990.

He is survived by his father Bill Driskill, Sr., his son William Chad Driskill, and his daughter, Misty Driskill, all of Pleasant Hill; his sister, Judith Ann (and Nick) Driskill-Brunstein of Fairview Heights, Illinois; four grandchildren Travis Roy Ebeck, Jr.; Julia Ann Ebeck, Johnny Driskill; and Arminta “Annie” Driskill; one great-grandchild, Bentley Taylor;  other relatives and friends.

Cremation has been accorded.

Visitation was held Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the funeral home.

Graveside services and interment were held  Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.  Reverend Todd MacLean officiated.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill Lay Clergy Council and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
