F. MARIE MALOTT
Frances Marie Malott, 82, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was born, September 8, 1936, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Virgil T. and Laverne (Thompson) Brown. She departed this life, Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Research Medical Center, Kansas City.
On March 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to Walter Eugene Malott, Sr., in San Diego, California.
Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Balboa Baptist Church in San Diego and was currently attending the Blue Springs Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, word search puzzles, and going to the beach. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially attending her grandchildren’s baseball and softball games.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Junior Brown, Homer Brown, Frank Brown, Eugene Brown, and Eddie Brown; and three sisters, Alma Douglas, Alta Lucas, and Barbara Cliver.
She is survived by her husband Gene of Blue Springs; one son Walter Eugene “Gene” (and LaVonna) Malott of Blue Springs; two daughters, Sharon Wheeler of Joplin, and Judy Malott of Blue Springs; three sisters, Mona Santiago of Lemon Grove, California, Virginian Matthes of Columbus, Indiana, and Diane (and Richard) Schuldheisz of Arkansas; 6 grandchildren, Danielle (and James) Yen, Branden (and Fatima) Wheeler, Rachael Malott, Hunter Malott, Rachel (and Brad) Mitchell, Tony (and Tori) Findley; 9 great grandchildren, Lily and Alex Yen, Luca (Camargo) Wheeler , Brent, Morgan and Trent Mitchell, Deegan, Iva, and Reed Findley; other family and friends.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Blue Springs Assembly of God 2501 E. Duncan Rd,, Blue Springs, Missouri 64029.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Blue Springs Assembly of God. Reverend John Martz will officiate. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville. Casket bearers are Tony Findley, Hunter Malott, Rachael Malott, Rachel Mitchell, James Yen, Brandon Wheeler, Vanessa Torres and Gary Fork.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Blue Springs Assembly of God Mission Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
